The beautiful-delightful Bay Area

Yep that's where I am. It's nice, I'm having down time up here. My sister lives up here in Berkeley and I'm chilling with her for the next few days. Going to do the coolest thing. Her work is having their christmas party today and it consists of kayaking in the bay at night and going to dinner. KAYAKING IN THE BAY, how cool is that? I'm really excited. Which brings me back around to this being my a place of logging my exercise... On tuesday the day of the LA show there was no time. wed. I spent all day traveling...(haha not going to talk about it :) and yesterday I was actually going to hit up the gym here but we walked probably a total of three miles and I was so pooped at the end of the day I felt I didn't have too. Are these ridiculous excuses??? yes or no? Today I'm reluctant to go to the gym because of the kayaking tonight I'm afraid of it being totally exhauting and a challenge to keep up with everyone else so I want to save my energy. And I'm serious, the last thing I need to do is start tonight with a worn out body! kay feel free to input on my perspective here.

Went to punchline show at Slim's last night, very awesome, their new stuff is fun. I also really enjoy how much harmonzing and back up singing there is of greg's it's neat to have that much second vocals, harmonies all over the place.

Yesterday was Ryan and my three year dating anniversary and five month being married anniversary. Sweet.

Here are my thoughts about the excercise thing. First the good parts:

- Keeping the intention in mind, you'll stay on your regiment mentally even if you fall behind physically. Some people will skip a day and the forget about it all together and lose any sense of commitment.

- You are aware of the concept of excuse versus reason, wether or not you are able to recognize them of yourself though is another question entirely.

The bad:

- You are obsessing the fuck out of something which is completely under your control. Do what you can when you can but do NOT turn it into work or some schedule outside of your control. Once something enters one of those two areas you start to associate a the feelings of stress and work with them, which ultimately is negative and unpleasant.

- You feel you have to justify something you already did and had a good reason for doing. Go with your feeling and if you feel like you are chickening out then tackle that feeling there and then and get over it. Do not try to reason out of it later and do not regret your decisions. The only reason to stress this shit is if your some movie star with a deadline. Sorry toots, you're not, take your time and enjoy your progress.

Harsh? Maybe. Sorry!

haha! whew! good stuff, thanks. The stress/work part ryan tells me I'm doing all the time, good for a second person to agree.

But now that you bring it up deadlines are a good idea (that definitely pushes me out the door), I just don't know what kind of goals to set at said deadlines. ;)
