Birthday, Yes!

Wow, my birthday has seriously ruled. I thought it was going to be hard to have a good one because my husband comes home the next day, but it has been great!

Yesterday I came down to LA to work with my new job and then I spent the night at my boss's house, and woke up today to a beautiful LA sunrise (picture to come soon) She cooked breakfast, we did some work in the office, then we had a fun day going to job sites, one of which was a project under construction and we had to precariously walk around on ceiling joists and roof rafters. I can 't remember the last time I had to put on sunscreen for a job! This job is so exciting because she works on a small scale, and she is able to involve me in the whole process, I'm not a small cog in the big machine, but someone who gets to be involved in the whole spectrum of what design and building is all about. She also has some really neat projects lined up, so I get to be involved wholisticly on really awesome stuff. I was then treated by her at Clementine's (Clare's old job) for lunch, and it was amazingly delicious.

This evening I raced to Dan & Nui's house at rush hour across LA, and then we all went racing to some chocolate tasting in Hollywood, to which every loc I know from Goleta (that now lives in LA) came to! Afterwards we went to St. Nicks where I was again treated to drinks and a really really good tuna fish sandwich.

And it's not even done! I'm spending the night at Dan and Nui's, I pick up Ryan tomorrow from LAX at 10 am, we get to measure our new apartment to figure out what furniture is going to fit. Then him and Janice have thrown together a dinner party for me on Saturday with over a whopping 16 people from Goleta attending.

On top of all this and most importantly making my birthday really awesome, I was blown away by how many people called me, texted me, and of course myspaced me a happy birthday.

Like seriously, I'm blown away by the level of new adventure and love I've felt from everyone I know, which I think are the two best things to experience on birthdays, thank you everyone! :)

Not Multi-Tasking

These last few days I've been a disorganized mess. I look at all things I have to do and I think, great! and that's about it. So I made a goal to do one particular thing before meeting up with Lura at 1:30. Which means I should be getting my butt off the computer right now. Crap! Ryan literally just came on the moment I finsished typing this. hahaha, we'll see what happens!

LA

here we come! (no I can't believe we're moving to LA)

But anyways, that's right, totally prepared! Sweet apartment, extremely sweet jobs, (yes the sweetness of my job rivals his, for the field that I'm in, and the level that I'm at)

The view from my job is only the beginning of the awesomeness:

so generous

"For each of the first 50,000 MySpace users that add Ashton’s profile as a friend, he will donate $1 to Habitat For Humanity® International. Check out his profile and learn more about the charity and his new film The Guardian."

can you believe this?

six billion people in the world, and if they all had a myspace profile, which they don't, and if they all became friends with ashton, he'd donate a whopping 120,000 dollars to this charity. Direct advertising to the entire world for $120,000. What a deal.
